Through the UBC Sustainability Scholars program, we are seeking a graduate student to work on a project with the Sport Hosting Vancouver partnership, developing an evaluation framework for the economic and social impact of sport hosting in Vancouver.
Sport Hosting Vancouver is a partnership between UBC, the City of Vancouver, the Vancouver Hotel Destination Association, Tourism Vancouver and PavCo. In order to support the strategic objectives of this partnership, as well as those of the Province of British Columbia, the development of a consistent and systematic approach to sport event evaluation is required.
The project would commence in the fall, and the successful candidate will receive $20 per hour to complete up to 250 hours of work between early November 2015 and mid-May 2016 (approx. 10 hours per week).
